SWORDFIGHTING!

Mr. Bruce, skilled veteran of the stage, alum of numerous staged Shakespeare productions, will lead the students in swordplay (either the opening brawl or the Romeo-Mercutio-Tybalt liveliness of Act 3)! This will be intermingled swordplay with the dramatic interpretation, so bring your books!!

G Block will swordfight on Thursday.
B, D, and E Blocks will swordfight on Friday.

Please come in costume as much as you can! I was very encouraged by the costumes I saw during the Culminating Activities. Appearing in costume will lend verisimilitude (i.e., realism) to the performances. If, for example, you have an Elizabethan hat and nothing else, then wear the hat during our block.

We have decided against the Elizabethan banquet activity because swordfighting was the more popular option, and we can't accommodate both in a single block.

So, to sum up, bring your book and costumes as you are able, and be prepared for choreographed swordplay!
